Privacy Policy

Effective Date: April 1, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Vladimir Ternavschi ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, stores, protects, and shares information when you use INTIMO (package name: com.intimo.app) and the related public materials available at intimo.pro.

INTIMO is a couples connection and intimacy planning app. It includes features such as partner pairing, encrypted sync between paired devices, activities, reflections, wishes, relationship planning, cycle tracking, mood check-ins, intimacy insights, optional photo attachments, optional read-only calendar integration, notifications, and backup and restore tools.

By using INTIMO, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy.

2. Information We Collect

INTIMO does not require an account to use the app. Core features work fully without signing up. If you choose to sign in (via email magic link, Google, or Apple), this enables optional features such as cloud backup and cross-device sync. INTIMO also uses locally generated identifiers and the information you choose to enter into the app.

We may collect and process the following categories of information:

3. Sensitive Data

INTIMO is designed for intimate relationship support. As a result, the app may process sensitive categories of data that you choose to provide, including:

Please only enter or share content that you are comfortable storing in the app and, where applicable, sharing with your paired partner.

4. How We Use Information

We use information to:

5. Optional Account and Authentication

INTIMO works fully without an account. Core app features rely on locally generated identifiers (userId, deviceId) and do not require sign-in. However, you may optionally sign in using an email magic link, Google, or Apple to unlock additional features:

If you sign in, your email address is stored securely and used only for authentication and account recovery. Pairing between partners is performed using a code or QR flow. Data needed for shared functionality may be synchronized between paired devices using end-to-end encryption.

6. Pairing, Sync, and Backups

Pairing and Sync

When you choose to pair with another user, INTIMO uses pairing codes or QR codes to connect the two devices. Shared app functionality may require information to sync between paired devices. If you share data with a paired partner, they may retain a copy on their device until they delete it or until the app syncs changes.

INTIMO uses end-to-end encryption for sync payloads. In plain language, this means your app encrypts data before it is sent, and the service used to transmit it is not intended to read the content of those encrypted payloads.

Cloud Backup

INTIMO offers backup and restore tools, including optional encrypted cloud backup.

Cloud backup snapshots are encrypted on the client side using AES-256-GCM before upload. A vault key is stored in device secure storage. For cloud backup, only an encrypted backup blob and a lookup hash are intended to be sent to the server.

Because backups are designed for recovery, you should keep your recovery information secure.

7. Permissions We Use

Depending on your choices and device settings, INTIMO may request the following permissions:

You can deny or revoke these permissions through your device settings. Some features may not work properly without the relevant permission.

8. Notifications

INTIMO may send:

You can manage notification preferences inside the app and also disable notifications in your device operating system settings.

9. Anonymous Telemetry and Crash Reporting

INTIMO collects anonymous telemetry events in production to help us understand app performance and improve the product. These payloads are sanitized to remove personally identifiable information, including email, name, phone number, address, and userId.

We also use crash reporting tools to detect bugs, fix technical problems, and improve reliability. Crash reporting is configured so that default personally identifiable information is disabled.

10. Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell your personal data.

We may share information only in the following limited ways:

11. Third-Party Services We Use

INTIMO currently uses the following third-party service providers:

We do not list additional third-party processors here unless they are confirmed as part of the app's operation.

These providers may process limited technical data necessary to perform their services. Where encrypted sync or encrypted backup is used, the content is intended to be encrypted before transmission.

12. Security Measures

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect data processed by INTIMO. These measures include:

No method of storage or transmission is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. You are responsible for keeping your device, recovery information, and any shared access secure.

13. Data Retention

We keep information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide INTIMO, maintain security, support backups and restore, troubleshoot problems, comply with law, and enforce our rights.

In general:

Because backup and sync systems can involve encrypted snapshots, queued processing, and operational logs, deletion may not always be instantaneous.

14. Deletion and Your Controls

You have several ways to control your data:

Please note that if you have used optional encrypted cloud backup, some backup-related encrypted data may persist until deleted or cleaned up through the backup system. Also, limited legal, security, or technical records may be retained where reasonably necessary.

15. International Processing

Depending on the infrastructure used to operate INTIMO, information may be processed on systems located in countries other than your own. Where this happens, we aim to use appropriate technical and contractual safeguards consistent with applicable law.

16. Children and Minors

INTIMO is not intended for children.

Because INTIMO is designed for intimate relationship use and may process sensitive health-related and intimacy-related information, you should not use the app if you are a child or below the age of majority in your jurisdiction. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children or minors. If you believe a child or minor has provided personal data through INTIMO, please contact us at intimo.support@gmail.com so we can review and take appropriate action.

17. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will post the updated version and update the Effective Date above. Your continued use of INTIMO after an updated Privacy Policy becomes effective means you accept the updated policy, to the extent permitted by law.
